Terms of Service

Effective Date: July 23, 2026

1. Introduction

Welcome to Slowed & Reverb ("we," "our," or "us"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of slowedandreverb.app and all related services, tools, and features (collectively, the "Service").

By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Service.

2. Service Description

Slowed & Reverb is an online audio processing tool that allows you to apply slowed (reduced playback speed) and reverb effects to audio files. The Service operates in your web browser using the Web Audio API. Your audio files are processed locally on your device and are never uploaded to any server.

The Service is available in two tiers:

  • Free: Upload audio, preview effects in real time, and export as 128kbps MP3. Exports longer than three minutes include a subtle audio watermark. No account required.
  • Pro ($6/month): Lossless WAV export, 320kbps MP3 export, no watermarks, and unlimited export duration.

We reserve the right to modify, update, or discontinue any aspect of the Service (including features and pricing) with reasonable notice to Pro subscribers.

3. User Accounts

You may use the Service without an account for free features. A registered account is required for Pro subscriptions. When creating an account, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate, current, and complete registration information.
  • Maintain the security of your account credentials. You are responsible for all activity under your account.
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
  • Be at least 18 years of age, or the age of legal consent in your jurisdiction.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, provide false information, or engage in fraudulent or abusive behavior.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service to process audio you do not own or have the legal right to use.
  • Upload or process content that is illegal, infringes on the rights of others, or contains malware.
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the Service.
  • Use automated means (bots, scrapers, scripts) to access or interact with the Service except as explicitly permitted.
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure.
  • Resell, redistribute, or white-label the audio processing functionality as a standalone or competing service.
  • Use the Service in violation of any applicable laws or regulations.

5. Intellectual Property

Our Intellectual Property

The Service — including its name, logo, design, code, text, graphics, and audio processing algorithms — is owned by us and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any right, title, or interest in the Service beyond the limited right to use it as described.

Your Content

You retain full ownership of your audio files and exported tracks. Since all processing happens locally on your device, we never possess copies of your input or output files. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you have the rights (copyright, license, or permission) to process the audio files you use with our tool.

We are not responsible for copyright infringement resulting from your use of audio files that you do not have the right to process. If you create slowed reverb edits of copyrighted songs and share them publicly, the original copyright still applies — creating a remix does not override the underlying copyright.

6. Payment Terms

The Pro subscription is billed at $6/month through Creem, our third-party payment processor. By subscribing to Pro, you:

  • Authorize us (via Creem) to charge your payment method on a recurring monthly basis.
  • Agree to Creem's terms of service and privacy policy in addition to these Terms.
  • Acknowledge that failure to pay may result in suspension or termination of your Pro access.
  • Understand that you may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you retain Pro access until then.

All prices are in US dollars and are subject to change with notice. We do not store your payment card details — all payment data is handled directly by Creem.

7. Refund Policy

Refund requests are evaluated on a case-by-case basis. If you believe you were charged in error or have a legitimate issue with your Pro subscription, please contact us at support@slowedandreverb.app within 14 days of the charge. We aim to process valid refund requests promptly.

8. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING:

  • Warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
  • Any warranty that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.
  • Any warranty regarding the accuracy, reliability, or quality of audio output produced by the tool.

The Service relies on your device's browser and audio hardware. We do not guarantee that the Service will work on all devices or browser versions. Performance and output quality depend on your hardware and the source audio file.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL SLOWED & REVERB, ITS OWNERS, EMPLOYEES, OR AFFILIATES BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Loss of profits, data, use, or goodwill.
  • Damages arising from your inability to access or use the Service.
  • Damages related to third-party claims regarding your use of the Service.
  • Any damages resulting from errors, omissions, or inaccuracies in the Service.

Our total liability, whether in contract, tort, or otherwise, shall not exceed the amount you have paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim, or $50 USD if you have not made any payments.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Slowed & Reverb and its affiliates from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your infringement of any third-party rights (including intellectual property rights).

11. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account and access to the Service at any time, with or without cause, including if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms.

You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination — including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and indemnification — shall survive.

12. Third-Party Services

The Service integrates with third-party services, including Creem (payment processing) and authentication providers. We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or practices of these third-party services. Your use of third-party services is governed by their respective terms and policies.

13. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. For material changes, we will:

  • Post the updated Terms on this page with a new effective date.
  • Provide notice via email to registered users at least 30 days before the changes take effect.
  • Display a notice on the Service for non-registered users.

Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws applicable to the jurisdiction where the Service operator is established, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation before pursuing other remedies.
